- Freight is charged at the rate of $5 for the North Island and $10 for the South Island for the first half case or case of wine. Freight is free for additional cases purchased.
Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Gewürztraminer 2010
This wine has a perfumed bouquet of rose water and jasmine. It is an elegant style of Gewürztraminer, making it a versatile wine which could be drunk as an aperitif or with food. Old Vine Gewürztraminer 2010
Our 2010 Old Vine Gewürztraminer is a lighter wine than some of its predecessors. It has a luscious texture with melon and lychee flavours and a delicate floral bouquet. There was no botrytis this year, so it has lovely clean fruit on the palate and a smooth finish with a long length. Late Harvest Gewürztraminer 2011
(375ml) This dessert wine was our contribution to the Cranford Hospice Charity Auction in 2011. It’s a wine Stonecroft only makes every so often and this time around we were lucky to get a nice amount of botrytis on the Old Vine grapes, giving the wine lovely honeyed notes. The bouquet is full of lychees and there is a hint of toffee. The wine has an unctuous texture with Turkish delight and sweet spice on the finish. It is a wine which should age extremely well.

Chardonnay 2010
Our 2010 Chardonnay has stone fruit on the nose, with citrus flavours and a slightly slatey, mineral note. It has a good body, with refreshing acidity and subtle oak influence. A very well balanced wine. For more detail see tasting notes below.

Old Vine Chardonnay 2010

Rosé 2010
This is Stonecroft’s first rosé since 2005. It is a serious, complex rosé made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah in a dry style. There is red fruit on the palate (cranberry, strawberry) with earthy notes and a hint of spice and an intriguing savoury finish. For more detail see tasting notes below.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
The Cabernet Sauvignon was so good in 2009 that we decided to make a varietal wine, with just a touch of Merlot. It has a lovely bouquet with blackcurrant, cedar and mint. The wine has dense black berry flavours and a slightly earthy note. A good tannic structure and a very long finish make this a wine which could be cellared for some time. Serine Syrah 2010
We are very pleased with this wine. A deliciously fruity and deeply coloured Syrah with cranberry and redcurrant flavours. There is a varietal note of pepper on the nose, nicely complemented by a touch of violet. Sweet vanilla and spice enriches the palate and the ripe fruit is balanced by good acidity. Reserve Syrah 2010
This is an intensely concentrated wine. The bouquet is refined, with subtle spice and floral notes. The palate is dense with black fruit flavours; rich blackberry and blueberry together with bootstrap licorice. This wine has a great structure and a very long length. It shows a lot of potential, in a vintage which appears to be producing fantastic reds in the Gimblett Gravels. For more detail see tasting notes below.

The Original Syrah 2009
This is a rare wine made from the original couple of rows of Syrah planted by Dr. Alan Limmer in the early 1980’s at our Mere Road vineyard. It is the first time, following planting of the later Syrah vines, that a wine has been made solely from these vines. This is an elegant wine and a great example of Hawke’s Bay syrah. It has loads of cherry and plum with vanilla, butterscotch, spice and liquorice flavours, soft tannins and a long, lingering finish. It deserves some bottle ageing before drinking.

Zinfandel 2010
Our 2010 Zinfandel is full of red fruit flavours; ripe red cherries and raspberries on both the nose and palate. American oak (50% new) imparts lovely sweet cinnamon and vanilla notes to the wine.
